Plus you have to give it to the Welsh they seem to have a natural aptitude towards singing and they punch well above their weight when it comes to international singing stars. I am amazed that I can still listen to this one though, because when we were tuned into NRJ (pronounced energy in France) they absolutely played it to death. Seemed like Duffy singing Mercy was on about every ten minutes. But I still bought her Rockferry Album and Mercy is still my favourite track despite the over exposure.

So here it is for your enjoyment and entertainment, Duffy performing Mercy, closely followed by Duffy singing Endlessly, which is pretty damned good as well, maybe even better; but I need to let it grow on me a bit. Perhaps I need to tune into NRG again after the 29th November.

A little bit more about Duffy, her full name is Aimée Ann Duffy and she was born in 1984. She is a singer and songwriter and her album Rockferry was released in 2008 and became the best selling albumKim Wilde - You Keep Me Hanging On. Read more ... » in the UK for 2008 getting somewhere in the order of 1.6 million sales in the UK and over 6 million world wide. It’s hard to believe but she was the first Welsh born female singer to get a UK number one for 25 years when the track in the video ‘Mercy’ got to number one.
