Paloma Faith, Upside Down at T in the Park

Posted on July 7, 2010

There is no doubt in my mind that Paloma Faith is a bit bonkers, but that aside she can certainly hold a tune. This video of her performing at T in the park in Scotland is a live performance and, unlike many artists you may hear, she really sounds good. Even without the aid of the recording studio editing and optimizing gear.

Her album Do You Want the Truth Or Something Beautiful has had pretty good reviews to date from those that have actually bought it. The reviews are mostly 5 stars with a couple of 4 stars and the tracks include ‘Upside Down’ the featured video, New York one of her better known tracks, her debut single ‘Stone Cold Sober’ and the rest you can see listed below.

Paloma is also a bit of an actress and along with several TV appearances played the part of Andrea in the comedy film about a load of naughty schoolgirls called ‘St Trinians’, a remake of an original UK classic film. I saw her on the UK TVNothings Real But Love - Rebecca Ferguson. Read more ... ยป show ‘Celebrity Juice’ hosted by Keith Lemon, where she was wearing a fruit salad as a hat and was bloody hilarious. She really is a natural talent and doesn’t seem to give a monkeys about anyone or anything, she is just capable of being herself and that comes across load and clear.

I wish her all the best, her music hasn’t done brilliantly to date, but I for one really rate her and hope that she soon sees the success she deserves. Keep an eye out for her second album, which I believe is currently under production, I know I will be.
